Hopefully you think, what is he talking about, I can’t create the job. Well you can, but that is for a future topic, but what I am saying is create your resume for the job. Make your information match their information.
Do you realize most job descriptions are very broad and don’t really give you an idea of the job? Things are worded to where they don’t fit what you will really do. I know several people have shared with me, “I don’t want this job” or “I didn’t apply” because: a) “I haven’t ever done” b) “it would be too hard to do” or c) “I think it would be too much work because” and then tell me one line of the job description.
If that is the worst of it, you can do it. Believe in yourself, take a chance. Make yourself go for it. You might at least get interview practice, you might get to communicate and network, but if you create a resume using their keywords and make it match, you might get the job too. Take a chance on yourself.
