DF Johnson brings a desire not only to better manage money, but to share it with others. His dream job is to help people grow their income, save for retirement, and ultimately find financial independence. To help stay current he listens to podcasts, reads financial magazines and books to get a wide range of thoughts and form his own.

Like a lot of people, he grew up where his parents’ lived paycheck to paycheck and had many mouths to feed. His family always had shelter and food but had to make tough choices when it came to the needs of the family and the things they wanted. Like many families, money was never discussed. His mom stayed up late a lot of the time to see how bad their financial situation was the next day.

DF developed a fascination for the stock market as he got older, and a co-worker got him into investing. DF learned about money from TV shows and CNBC. One of his favorite inspirations is Suze Orman and her segment called “Can I afford it” where Suze Orman was willing to emphatically tell people “No.” There are many others that have influenced him along the way.

DF’s early years with little money has an impact on his life daily, but he has used many resources to learn to manage money and grow it and is bringing that to you. To help bring financial independence to anyone who desires it.

Ethan Johnson, SHRM-CP | Contributor

Ethan Johnson is a native Texan and lifelong people person who has turned his passion for connection and communication into a meaningful career in Human Resources. With over a decade of experience across the non-profit, private, and K–12 education sectors, Ethan brings a unique blend of empathy, strategy, and technical insight to every role.

“Once lured into the glamour of the tech industry, reformed to be a human resources professional,” Ethan began his journey studying computer information systems, earning his associate degree with a focus on technology and systems thinking. Though he enjoyed the structure and logic of tech, he realized his true strength lay in supporting people. He pivoted toward HR, completing his bachelor’s in technical management and earning his SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential to deepen his expertise.

Ethan’s interest in HR was sparked early. As a teenager, he found himself helping his mom draft her retirement letter and supporting his dad through a workplace conflict. That early exposure to the importance of clear communication and employee advocacy stuck with him. His first formal HR experience came when he volunteered for his workplace’s employee recognition committee—an experience that confirmed his desire to build a career centered around people.

What sets Ethan apart is the unique way he combines his background in technology with his passion for human connection. He understands both the systems that support workplaces and the emotional intelligence that drives strong teams. Whether he’s guiding job seekers to their first opportunity or helping someone take the next big step in their career, Ethan brings empathy, insight, and a sincere desire to see others succeed. He believes everyone should feel empowered—both professionally and personally—and he’s committed to helping others navigate that journey with confidence.

Outside of work, Ethan enjoys a rich and full life with his incredible spouse. Together, they’ve adopted two wonderful kids, two loyal dogs, a host of tech gadgets, and way more books than their shelves can hold. In his downtime, you’ll often find Ethan enjoying a long walk with his favorite playlist, diving into a good book or game, or simply soaking in family time.

At his core, Ethan believes that great workplaces are built by people who care—and HR exists to make that care visible, sustainable, and impactful.
